Janet Perlstein, an accomplished real estate and business attorney, joined Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul in 1987.  Ms. Perlstein is a shareholder of the firm, and has considerable experience in the practice of business and real estate law.  She  represents  institutional  lenders  and  commercial  property owners and tenants.  Ms. Perlstein’s practice involves documenting, negotiating and closing commercial loan transactions, purchase and sale transactions and lease agreements, reviewing title matters, and conducting due diligence investigations with respect to acquisition, ownership, leasing, sale and encumbrance of real property.

Michael Friedman is a shareholder of Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul.  For over 20 years his core practice has focused on real estate and financing transactions, concentrating on the representation of multi-family and commercial property owners and developers in connection with acquisition, disposition and development; institutional lenders regarding loans and workouts; and landlords and tenants with respect to commercial leasing.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Friedman was associated with the New York law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where his practice included the representation of national and international lending institutions as to complex financings and workouts.

Harsha Krishnan is a shareholder of Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul.  His practice concentrates on business law, particularly the areas of telecommunications, emerging technologies and new businesses.     He combines his previous experience as a systems analyst and software developer with an understanding of telecommunications and new technology law to offer clients a unique perspective on their legal issues and problems.

Mr. Krishnan has represented medical device manufacturers, telephone companies, competitive access providers, long-distance resellers, microwave and satellite licensees, information service providers, software developers and other high technology firms.  He has provided representation to clients in federal and state regulatory proceedings, in litigation before regulatory agencies, and in the federal and state courts.  His practice also emphasizes representation of new businesses in connection with private debt and equity financing, including preparing private placement memoranda, blue sky filings, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.  Additionally, Mr. Krishnan coordinates international trademark registrations for U.S. clients.

Christopher J. Dominic Rivers became an associate attorney for Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul in 2008 after clerking for the firm during law school.  Mr. Rivers serves the firm’s litigation and transactional practice groups, with areas of concentration including real estate litigation, commercial litigation, employment litigation, copyright and trademark protection, and the drafting of a variety of commercial agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rivers served as a law clerk to the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, and has worked extensively in the fields of sports law and sports management, including the field of Major League Baseball salary arbitration. 

Mr. Rivers received an A.B. from Vassar College, an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a J.D., Cum Laude, from Suffolk University Law School, where he was an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.  Mr. Rivers also attended the Universityof Denver, Sturm College of Law, on a visiting basis during his final year of law school.

Mr. Rivers is a member of the Denver, Colorado Bar, and American Bar Associations, and the Sports Lawyers Association.  He has been admitted to the Colorado Bar, and is licensed to practice in the State of Colorado.

Hilary Bloom joined Lottner Rubin Fishman Saul, in 2009 as an associate attorney with the firm’s taxation practice.  Ms. Bloom’s practice focuses on tax planning for business organizations, tax planning for business and real estate transactions (including tax-free exchanges), estate planning and administration and representation of tax-exempt entities and charitable organizations. 

 Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bloom was an attorney with two well respected large Denver law firms and she worked extensively in the areas of federal income tax planning, estate planning and estate administration. 

Ms. Bloom received a B.S. from Washington University, a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of law (Order of St. Ives) and L.L.M in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.  She is a member of the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.  She has been admitted to the Colorado Bar, and is licensed to practice in the State of Colorado.

• Represented a national general contractor in prosecuting a $14 million claim against subcontractors and design professionals for construction and design defects involving two multi-family condominium buildings.
• Represented a national general contractor in a $4 million claim by homeowners association for construction defects involving a high rise condominium project and the general contractor’s subrogation of the claims against subcontractors.
• Represented national golf course developer and general contractor in obtaining judgment (for total claim and penalty interest) in favor of contractor in mechanic’s lien action.
• Represented a developer in a $6.4 million claim by homeowners association for construction defects involving multi-family condominium buildings.  
• Represented a national general contractor in a $4 million claim by homeowners association for construction defects involving a high rise condominium project and the general contractor’s subrogation of the claims against subcontractors.
• Represented a builder/vendor in a $2.1 million claim by homeowners of multiple single family homes involving expansive soils and construction defects and the general contractor’s subrogation of the claims against subcontractors.
• Represented a national heavy civil general contractor in condemnation proceeding involving a public utility company.
• Represented a heavy civil contractor in delay claim and payment dispute.
